We have no objections to the change of use, provided the car park area is screened with hedging and appropriate parking surface. The views of the residents in Church Square will be taken into consideration.
The recently received application concerning the ironmongers site at Faversham Road 14/505125/FULL will be discussed at the next planning meeting following further investigation.
- NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN REPORT
Cllr. Jerrett reported on the very successful consultation event held at Lenham Primary School on the 17th October. The follow up from the event will be a Technical Briefing to beheld 21st November at the Community Centre 10am to mid-day.
A letter from Lightsource Renewable Energy Ltd outlining the proposal to extend the planning permission term at Lenham Solar Farm from 25 years to 30 years with a one-off community benefit payment of £10,000 was discussed. The recommendation to accept the offer will be recommended to full council.
An appeal concerning the breach of listed building consent was noted with no comments to be submitted by the planning committee.
Wealden Homes requested future details of the Neighbourhood Plan, the company have submitted an application to develop land rear of Loder Close. The letter will be discussed at full council.
Full details are awaited for an application for Sunnyside Sandway, for consideration.
The advertisement for a vacant property in Groom Way will be circulated. Concerns were raised about the lack of time to respond (five days) Cllr. Jerrett is investigating further.
