PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

A parishioner raised concerns relating to the proposal to withdraw the planning objection to development to the rear of the Glebe pond in Old Ashford Road Lenham and requested an update on the situation.

Cllr. Jerrett explained the objection has not been withdrawn at present until the validity of the licence has been confirmed as legally binding.  Cllr. Cockett suggested looking at the licence as two distinct areas as defined on the accompanying plan to the licence.  The council propose to take legal advice.

The Chairman opened the meeting at 8.43pm.

  1. NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN REPORT

Work on collating the responses from Reg.14 is progressing, from which any adaption to the plan will be considered.  Further meetings with MBC will be scheduled to ensure any changes to the plan can be negotiated.

 

  1. CORRESPONDENCE

Cllr. Jerrett will draft a letter to Sibley Pares for Cllrs. consideration concerning the Glebe pond licence for definition of the two distinct land areas on the plan, and once agreed will ask the solicitor to advice accordingly.

Cllr. Ballard proposed and Cllr. Greenwood seconded and it was RESOLVED to meet the cost of the advice of the solicitor as per the quote of £250.

Cllr. Osborne will attend MBC planning meeting when the Glebe Gardens application is being considered.

Cllr. Greenwood reported works on the former NatWest building may require a trench being dug in a conversation area.  He will report on developments.

Cllrs. will meet with R Samuel, the developer of the Sandpit at Sandway, Clerk will organise dates early May.

The Ham Lane Appeal will be attended by LPC Cllrs. & NHP team members throughout the process.

The LPC has submitted a response to the motocross appeal APP/U2235/W/163143679.                                          The meeting closed 9.53pm
