REPORT OF THE LENHAM PARISH COUNCIL PLANNING COMMITTEE
HELD IN THE COMMUNITY CENTRE ON MONDAY 1st FEBRUARY 2016 AT 7.30pm

A resident explained the revised details of the application 15/508193 67 Robins Close Lenham.
The requirements of MBC planning department have been incorporated in the latest plans.
Cllr. Jerrett thanked the applicant for the information and stated the plans will be discussed during the meeting.
Concerns relating to the application 14/505125 Lenham Ironmongers site Faversham Road Lenham were raised by a parishioner. A request for the inclusion of updated sound tests for the installation of three air conditioning units, which will effect seven residential properties, will be sent to MBC. The application is invalid without the relevant acoustic testing.
Cllr. Jerrett thanked the parishioners for attending and said their issues would be discussed under agenda item Planning Applications Received. The parishioners left the meeting.

25th January Revised details for erection of single storey side extension with
Insertion of roof lights, porch roof extension, removal of chimney and erection of two storey rear extension.
A letter of objection from residents at no 69 Robins Close was considered by Cllrs.
We have no objections.

21st January Erection of two storey side extension to existing dwelling and associated
landscaping. Demolition of existing single storey side extension.
We have no objections.
Lenham Ironmongers 8 Faversham Road Lenham ME17 2PN 26th January
Proposed new detached building to accommodate three air conditioning units.
Cllrs. wish to reiterate original concerns about the acoustic tests and request the property nearest to the proposed housing unit (flat above retail unit) be taken into consideration.
A recommendation that work on the housing unit does not commence until the requisite noise assessment is made available to near neighbours.

Erection of 67 new residential dwellings together with access onto Ham Lane, internal roads, parking, landscaping and ancillary works.
Cllrs. agreed to adjourn any decision until the next planning meeting (17th February) In order to allow more time for further discussion.
- NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN REPORT
The preparations for the formal Regulation 14 Consultation (8th February until 24th March) are progressing well.
Cllr. Jerrett will request Designscape provide a list of stakeholders who will be posted a hard copy of the plan.
A public meeting to be held on February 11th to discuss the MBC Local Plan, may offer the opportunity to register the concerns about housing numbers for Lenham, as identified in the Neighbourhood Plan document.
Cllrs. J & T Sams are considering producing a leaflet with details of the MBC Local Plan Consultation, and provided details of the leaflet for discussion. With three consultations all being carried out within the next six weeks, clarification between each consultation is important.
Glebe Gardens proposed development will be discussed once the new application is received from MBC.
Cllr. Osborne provided details of the S106 monies available from 14/503411 The Paddock, Grove House, Old Ashford Road Lenham. (details available on MBC web-site)
Cllr. Greenwood is meeting the developers of the United Reform Church site, to discuss the provision of safety netting on behalf of the Lenham Cricket Club.
Works have started on the former NatWest Bank building in the Square to provide a solicitor’s office.
