REPORT OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING AT 8.35pm ON WEDNESDAY 20thMARCH 2019 IN THE COMMUNTIY CENTRE.

Cllrs. M Ballard, M Cockett, R Greenwood, C Huggens & A Ratcliffe. 

Cllrs. J Britt & N Osborne were also present.Margo McFarlane (Clerk & RFO)

We have no objections and request consideration of a condition that a porous surface is installed on the driveway.

Alleged breach 3ft illuminated wooden cross on Grade 1 listed building.

We have no comments.

Cllr. Ballard gave an update on the progress of the Faversham Road junction improvement works, Cllr. Walmsley will question the agreed length of the double yellow lines to the north-west side of Faversham Road.

Cllr. Ballard confirmed the Paddock drainage works are in limbo, as no consultation has yet taken place with Groom Way residents, Len Valley Surgery or the Community Centre.

4.              NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN REPORT

The meeting on the 19thMarch discussed the issues relating to site two at Leading Cross Green, the CIL/S106 monies and options available for a link road from Headcorn Road to the Ashford Road (A20)

The NHP consultant will provide agenda items for ratification at the next council meeting.

The plan is progressing as expected, although issues outside of the NHP group remit are holding the time table up and causing delays.

Cllr. Walmsley reported on the MBC Local Plan review meeting he attended on the 13thMarch.

Cllr. Ratcliffe reported on the progress of the proposed nursery school on the plot of land at Ham Lane allotment site.  Fund raising will begin by the nursery group and meetings will be held to discuss the

lay out of the site and the design of the building.

5.              CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED

KCC Highways notification of waiting restrictions and street parking places covering Faversham Road and Maidstone Road. 

There was one consultation response from Faversham Road junction improvement schedule letter, sent by LPC concerning parking issues on the verge near the junction.
