REPORT OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING AT 7.30pm ON WEDNESDAY 16thMAY 2018 IN THE COMMUNTIY CENTRE.

PRESENT

Cllr. A Walmsley, Chairman presiding.

Cllrs. M Ballard, R Greenwood, C Huggens & A Ratcliffe.

Cllr. N Osborne was also present. M. McFarlane (Clerk & RFO) 1 member of the public.

 

PUBLIC PARTICIPA|TION

The resident presented updated and correct plans for 18/501016/Full, conversion of barn to holiday let accommodation at Lea Farm Faversham Road Lenham. The original footprint of the building will not be increased, and the dilapidated building will be fully restored. Cllrs. highlighted their concerns about previous submitted plans being misleading and inadequate in detail in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB)

Following further discussion, it was agreed the applicant had presented a solid case for permitting development. Cllrs. agreed to withdraw their objection, however, if possible the barn should be legally tied to Highfield which is owned by the applicant.

The Chairman thanked the applicant for his attendance and opened the meeting at 8.05pm.

We reiterate our original reasons for objection and wish the issue of foul drainage provision to be investigated further.

We object and request the application is called into MBC planning committee.

Cllr. Walmsley requested an extension of time to consider 18/501716/PNPA. The former dairy buildings, Blue House Farm Warren Street Lenham, as we have not received details. Clerk will contact MBC.
