REPORT OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING HELD IN THE COMMUNITY CENTRE
ON WEDNESDAY 18th OCTOBER 2017 AT 7.30pm

The applicant from the Bow Window confirmed the sheds will be used solely for storage facilities and
not for cooking or food preparation.
Cllr. Osborne advised a resident to seek pre-application advice from MBC on a site with development opportunity, with reference to the Neighbourhood Plan 2021 -2031.

We recognise this is a brownfield site, but unsure as to who the target market is?
It would appear to be development in an unsustainable rural area.
We have no objections.
- NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN REPORT
The analysis of the questionnaires from the public consultation event is on the LPC web-site.
Cllr. Cockett confirmed grant funding for the Strategic Environment Assessment (SEA) which should be completed by end of December.
Cllr. Osborne reported consultation meetings with stakeholders will be undertaken, including local parish councils, local schools and the Len Valley surgery. Infrastructure meetings with developers to discuss the masterplan for six sites will take place in November.
- CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED
It was acknowledged that correspondence has been circulated concerning the proposed adoption of the Maidstone Borough Local Plan. Cllr. Osborne requested fellow Cllrs. confirm their support of the local plan and hoped B. Cllrs. would do likewise.
