After discussion it was resolved to object to this application on the grounds that it is

1) In an unsustainable area

2) Any driveway will enter the Headcorn Road which is a narrow lane and very busy. There are no pavements or cycle paths in the Lane. It should be noted that this is in a part of the Village where Platts Heath action group are actively seeking traffic calming measures.

Westbury Waterditch Lane Lenham
Comments due by 4thJanuary 2019

After discussion it was resolved to object to this application on the grounds that it is:

1) In an unsustainable area

2) It is in designated AONB

3) Although originally used as a high-density Chicken unit no Environmental studies detailing contamination appear to have been made. Normally an EA acceptance of the contamination and drainage arrangements would be expected (the area sits over the main aquifer)

4) If housing is to be allowed for this location it should be in character with the neighbouring properties rather

Than in character with a working farm.

5) Please note the CIL have not been completed though drawings suggest the floor area will trigger the 100sq m limit.

No objections as per the comments on the previous application we would suggest a planning condition of requiring the building to have half hips to align with the design of the existing property.
