REPORT OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING AT 7.30PM ON MONDAY 1STAPRIL 2019 IN THE COMMUNTIY CENTRE.

Cllr. Walmsley will update the planning application decisions spreadsheet and circulate.  Cllr. Ratcliffe is interested to know how many recommendations/comments submitted by the Lenham Council planning committee, are actually considered and acted on my MBC planning committee?

The LPC web-site now has a direct link with Maidstone.gov.uk website in order to find planning applications.

The link can be found in the right-hand side panel and takes you straight to the planning portal.

It was noted works appear to have started on the proposed car wash site on Old Ashford Road.

4.              NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN REPORT

The recently received letter from MBC strategic planning dept, concerning CIL and S106 monies in relation to infrastructure provision identified in the NHP, will be considered in more depth by the NHP Group and is an agenda item for full council consideration at the next meeting (3rdApril)

Cllr. Huggens raised the issue of the Royton Avenue buffer and requested clarification as to the status of the land in the NHP and transportation assessment?

5.              CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED

A letter received from a resident at the Faversham Road junction, in response to the letter sent by the Parish Council concerning parking issues on the grass verge, was discussed and it was agreed Cllr. Walmsley will draft a reply outlining the present works being scheduled for junction improvements.
