REPORT OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING AT 7.30pm ON WEDNESDAY 15thAUGUST 2018 IN THE COMMUNTIY CENTRE.
PRESENT Cllr. A Walmsley, Chairman presiding.
Cllrs. M Ballard, M Cockett, R Greenwood, C Huggens & A Ratcliffe.
Cllr. N Osborne & P McCreery were also present. M McFarlane (Clerk & RFO)
A resident voiced concerns of possible flooding risks from the proposed development of land adjacent to his property in Old Ashford Road (17/500357/HYBRID) The increased traffic flow and overspill parking from the extra 150 dwellings was also an issue which would require traffic calming solutions and management.
Cllrs. agreed conditions would be requested to be included in the application to help alleviate several issues identified by the planning committee and NHP group. (See under applications received)
The Chairman thanked the resident for attending and opened the meeting at 8.30pm

Full application – Erection of 48 dwellings and associated infrastructure, landscaping and open space. Outline application-Erection of 102 dwellings (access, layout and landscaping to be sought)
Land North of Old Ashford Road Lenham.
Several issues were raised, covering flooding/drainage, water management, and surface water scheme details, there should be a fully worked up KCC drainage system available for inspection. The landscape visual impact assessment and substantial landscape buffers along the A20, increased provision of open space and possible play area should be available for consideration.
We wish to object and call into planning committee.
Proposed garage door within existing opening.

The public consultation open day will be held at the Tithe Barn on Saturday October 6th10am to 4pm.
The event will be widely advertised and official notification of the consultation dates for Regulation 14 will be placed in the Kent Messenger .
