REPORT OF THE FINANCE & GENERAL PURPOSES COMMITTEE MEETING HELD IN THE COMMUNITY CENTRE
ON WEDNESDAY 19th APRIL 2017 at 8.55pm

- ENVIRONMENT WORKS & PROJECT UPDATES
WCs land title deed to be confirmed to architect to proceed with a sketch of proposed new facilities at Maidstone Road.
Cllr. Ballard proposed, Cllr. Greenwood seconded and it was RESOLVED to recommend to full council the purchase and installation of a larger bin in the churchyard.
Further discussions will take place regarding the proposed wild flower area in the churchyard.
Cllrs. Greenwood and Michaelas will present a report with project recommendations for the cemetery following their site meeting on 6th April, for consideration at the next parish meeting.
A meeting will be organised to discuss the sale of the site of the allotments at Ham Lane.
Cllrs. Greenwood and Walmsley will produce a report of the meeting with the MBC Parking Officer, held on 6th April for consideration at full council.
A progress report on the NHP and the proposals for the platform at the High Street and Ham Lane junction will be discussed at the Annual Assembly on the 27th April.
The protective netting has been installed at the cricket field, further discussions concerning ongoing maintenance of the equipment will be undertaken.
The proposed Lenham Meadows Trust is progressing, set up costs of approximately £2000 will be requested as a loan from LPC and repaid from funding. Cllr. Greenwood will present the
details of the request at the next LPC meeting.
Cllrs. agreed to recommend CPRE membership for 2017 at £36 plus a £64 donation.
An invitation from Hollingbourne PC to attend their Annual Assembly will be considered by Cllr. Greenwood.
Cllr. Scrivens is corresponding with KCC concerning lighting issues at Faversham Road junction.
