REPORT OF THE FINANCE & GENERAL PURPOSES COMMITTEE MEETING HELD IN THE COMMUNITY CENTRE

- ENVIRONMENT WORKS & PROJECT UPDATES
The parish wide transport survey currently being undertaken in conjunction with the Neighbourhood Plan is making good progress. An additional parking study will be recommended to full council.
Subject to permission being granted, consideration will be given to inserting a flyer into the September edition of the Focus magazine. The flyer will have a summary of the mid-July update of the Neighbourhood Plan. The Regulation 14 public consultation event will be held at the Lenham primary school, if the 29thSeptember is available for the hire of the school hall. The event details will be advertised on the flyer.
The swings at the Ham Lane play park will be repainted at the weekend 21st/22ndJuly.
Overgrown vegetation on the footpath leading from Maidstone Road to Ham Lane will be cut back during the same weekend and lose stones on the footpath at the Limes will be made safe.
All tasks will be undertaken by the village handyman.
Cllr. Osborne will meet with the village handyman to identify the damaged bench which will be removed from the picnic site. Overgrown areas of the site will be cut back to curb ragwort growth before the plant goes to seed.
The Open Spaces annual report and Summer edition of the magazine was circulated.
