February 2014 Planning Committee Meeting Report LPC Meeting Minutes & Reports

 

Held in the community centre on Wednesday 19th February 2014 at 7:30pm

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

Mr & Mrs Cooper outlined their intentions in relation to a planning application for a dwelling on family owned land at Sandway. (MA/14/0185)  Cllrs. asked questions and discussed the application.  It was agreed that the recommendation of the committee would be we do not wish to object.  Cllr. Huggens thanked the parishioners for attending the meeting.

Planning Inspectorate on 05-Feb-2014

4. NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN REPORT

The meeting with MBC to discuss the SHLAA map and the Local Plan proved useful.

Land identification and numbers of proposed developments have not been confirmed but are expected to be available on the MBC web-site before the end of February.

Cllr. Greenwood is seeking advice on the future use of the cricket ground if planning permission is granted for housing development on the site of the United Reform Church.

5. CORRESPONDENCE

Proposed changes, subject to consultation, to the delivery of planning applications will require future applications are downloaded and viewed using a screen.  Paper plans will in effect be redundant.  The Clerk will ensure unlimited broadband download facilities are in place in readiness for the change.

Parishioners have voiced concerns relating to the transportation of goods to the Solar Park site.  Damage has been caused to banks and a wall.  The Clerk will contact the contractors to ensure the agreed route as per the planning permission is adhered to.

Cllr. Drylie has resigned from the Planning Committee due to work & family commitments.  He remains on the LPC and the F&GP committee and will also carry on working with Cllrs. Osborn and Jackson on the implementation of the web-site.

Cllr. Huggens on behalf of all the members, thanked Cllr. Drylie for his work on the planning committee.

Cllr. Gillett suggested the planning list of applications to be discussed at the planning committee meetings could be emailed by the Clerk to Cllrs. so they have the opportunity to look at the applications on the MBC web-site prior to the actual meeting.  The Clerk will forward the list as suggested.
