Grounds maintenance / environment works / repairs
To keep the grounds well maintained following the need to replace the contractor, it was agreed to instruct the next most competitive tender to undertake the works. The Clerk will meet with the contractors to ensure they are aware of the areas to be maintained as per the original specification.
The Twittens footpath will be cleared during the school Easter break as per the quote.
The Clerk reported that the Spring Clean held on Saturday 5th April at the churchyard, was well attended and a clear up of the area undertaken. A group of thirty five people joined the Annual Parish Spring Clean on Saturday 12th April where fifty bags of rubbish was collected throughout the parish.
Cllr. Gillett and Jackson were concerned about the amount of rubbish in the William Pitt field. A meeting with the Lenham Wanderers Football Club will be organised to discuss actions to keep the field litter free.
The Clerk reported the new office computer has been installed and the LPC email address was now in use. Sage accounts package will be purchased and installed.

Discussions were held concerning the 2014/15 Chairmanship, Vice Chairman, Planning Chairman and F & GP Chairman. Recommendations will be made at the LPC meeting (7th May) for consideration.
